Frequently Asked Questions

We know that choosing the right training program for your dog comes with plenty of questions. To make things easier, we’ve put together answers to some of the most common inquiries we receive. From training methods to session types and everything in between, this FAQ will help you understand how we work and what to expect. Still curious? Don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help!

  • What training methods do you use?
At Sirius 7K9 Training, we use science-based, reward-driven training techniques to create a positive learning experience for your dog. Our approach focuses on clear communication, reinforcement, and structure to ensure lasting results.
  • What types of dogs do you train?
We work with all breeds, ages, and temperaments. Whether you have a young puppy, a rescue dog, or a reactive adult, our programs are tailored to meet your dog’s specific needs.
  • Do you offer in-home training?
Yes! We provide in-home training sessions to work on behaviours in a familiar environment. This is especially helpful for addressing home-specific issues like door manners, leash pulling, and reactivity.
  • How long does it take to see results?
Every dog is different, but many owners see noticeable improvements after just a few sessions. Consistency and practice are key—our goal is to give you the tools and knowledge to maintain progress at home.
  • Do you offer group classes or private sessions?
We specialize in private, one-on-one sessions for a fully customized experience. However, we occasionally offer small group training for socialization and obedience practice.
  • What age should I start training my puppy?
It’s never too early to start! Puppies can begin basic training as early as 8 weeks old. Early socialisation and foundational skills help prevent behavioural issues down the road.
  • My dog is aggressive/reactive. Can you help?
Yes! We specialize in behavioural rehabilitation for dogs struggling with aggression, anxiety, and reactivity. We create a structured plan to help your dog build confidence and respond appropriately to triggers.
  • What areas do you serve?
We provide in-person training in and around London
  • How do I book a session?
You can book a session by phone, or by sending us a message through our contact form. We’ll discuss your needs and recommend the best training plan for your dog.
  • What should I bring to a training session?
Bring high-value treats, your dog's favourite toy, a standard leash (not retractable), and a well-fitted collar or harness. If your dog has a history of reactivity, we may recommend additional equipment for safety.
  • What if I have more questions?
Feel free to contact us anytime! We’re happy to answer any additional questions and help you find the best training program for your dog.
